This year Forbes India released its list of top 100 celebrities. The list also saw some new impressive entrants. Here are top 10 new faces with their Forbes debut rankings.
PV Sindhu (Spot – 62)
She is country’s latest sensation. Sindhu is the youngest and first Indian women to win a silver medal in Olympics. She also won her maiden super series at China Open. She has various endorsements lined up and Badminton as a sport has made its comeback, thanks to Sindhu.
Badshah (Spot 81)
He ruled the popularity hits due to his immense 3 hits- ‘Kaala Chashma’, ‘Kar Gayi Chull’ and ‘Baby Ko Bass Pasand Hai’. He is just 30 and very popular at concerts in India and abroad.
Bharti Singh (Spot 98)
She is one of the most popular faces on Indian television. With shows like Comedy Nights Bachao she became more popular. Bharti also starred in a Bollywood film Sanam Re and also was approached by a beauty brand Joy.
Neeraj Pandey (Spot 96)
Neeraj is known for making substance movies. Two of his directorial Rustom and MS Dhoni:The Untold Story were commercially successful and critically acclaimed movies. His next venture is Naam Shabana, whch is a sequel to his 2015 superhit Baby.
Diljit Dosanjh (Spot 79)
Diljit made his bollyood debut in 2016 with Udta Punjab and was widely appreciated for his performance. The Punjabi actor- singer is immensely popular in Punjab and slowly making his mark in bollywood. He also has brands like Coca Cola and Filpkart.
Anil Kumble (Spot 65)
Anil was appointed coach of national team in January 2016. He was chief mentor for Roual Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians. He proved to be a successful coach as Team India won series against West Indies, New Zealand and England.
Sanjeev Kapoor (Spot 73)
He is the most celebrated chef in India. He is co owner of a food and lifestyle channel, Food Food. He also owns various restaurant chains such as Signature and Yellow Chilli. Sanjeev also launched his own lifestyle and kitchenware brand SK Brands. He is also approached by Misnistry of Raulways to design a menu for food to be served in trains.
Siddharth Malhotra (Spot 74)
Siddharth is often called as The accidental celebrity. Although his acting talents are not really appreciated, he has managed to be in limelight . Thanks to his good looks!. His Kapoor and Sons(since 1921) earned him positive reviews. His hard work and persistence is slowly paying off.
Sakshi Malik (Spot 80)
Sakshi became the first female freestyle wrestler to win a bronze medal in Commonwealth and Asian Games in 2015 and went on to win a bronze in Olympics too.Her significant achievements have won her a lot of appreciation. She is also brand ambassador for Haryana’s Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign.
Ashutosh Gowarikar (Spot 92)
Though his much awaited and anticipated flick Mohenjo daro failed miserably at Bollywood but the buzz around the movie kept him in news. He also returned to the big screen in Priyanka Chopra’s maiden Marathi production Ventilator which earned him great reviews.
